- Engaging children in meaning-making through thoughtfully curated and aesthetically staged loose parts.
- Environments that create a sense of belonging and well-being in early learning programs.
The Gifts of the Seven Grandfathers
A 7 minute cartoon from Vision Realm Film Studies. A story of how the Seven Grandfather Teachings were given to the people. This was shared by Michelle Taylor Leonhardi as a resource for an Online Conversation and is made available here for viewing and discussion in an interactive virtual theatre.
The Learning Teacher
Being a "learning" teacher involves an openness to question why children express fascination, frustration, excitement, engagement or apathy about the materials and opportunities we offer them. In this 8 minute video, we observe two one-year-old children explore their world and reflect on what we can learn as we watch and listen.
Arrange to meet here with colleagues and use the reflection questions posted in the room.
Reflecting on Anti-Bias Education in Action: The Early Years

- Produced by Debbie LeeKeenan and John Nimmo, features vignettes of anti-bias strategies in early childhood classrooms interspersed with teachers reflecting on their practice.
- By taking viewers into diverse early childhood classrooms, the film seeks to demonstrate the importance of teacher reflection on identity, context, and practice in anti-bias education and provides a much-needed resource for teacher education and professional development.
- Watch with a group: 4 discussion questions provided in the theatre.
